Our Story

Ironbridge Candle Company was born from a story of resilience, creativity, and reinvention.

After a life-changing car accident forced me to leave my career, I turned to renovating my home during recovery. What began as a practical project quickly sparked a passion for craft and sustainability. I was struck by how many beautiful materials were being thrown away, so I started reclaiming them to make furniture — and soon after, home accessories. That led to creating candles with recycled materials, and before long, the business began to grow.

Over ten years ago, we sold our home, relocated to the beautiful Ironbridge Gorge, and opened a small shop in a craft centre in Jackfield. What started in that little workshop has since grown into our current home at the Jackfield Tile Museum, where visitors can watch us handcraft every product — from candles and diffusers to room sprays, hand washes, lotions, and more.

From day one, our mission has been simple: to create high-quality home fragrance and cosmetic products that are sustainable, refillable, and accessible. We want our customers to enjoy luxury goods without waste — offering beautiful, refillable products that protect the environment and provide lasting value.

Sustainability runs through everything we do. We source materials responsibly, locally wherever possible, and design our entire collection to be either refillable, reusable, or recyclable. Whether it’s a candle, a room spray, or a hand wash, our refill service means fewer raw materials, less waste, and a smaller carbon footprint.

We’re more than a shop — we’re a working studio. Every product is made in-house, right in front of our visitors, offering complete transparency and a truly immersive experience. Our next step is a Perfume Bar, where visitors can explore fragrances, blend their own unique oils, and create bespoke home fragrance products such as candles and diffusers.
